Eugene Sheppard

Apostle Eugene Sheppard – Washington, DC

Founder and Senior Pastor, Living Word Church

Eugene M. Sheppard is founder and Senior Pastor of Living Word Church.  As pastor, teacher and evangelist, Pastor Eugene has ministered to the body of Christ for over 30 years.  He's known as an anointed preacher, dynamic teacher and compassionate pastor who is delivering an accurate word from the Lord.  He has traveled throughout the United States and ministered extensively in Haiti, India, England and South Africa.

Through his work and visionary leadership, Living Word Church was established to address the spiritual and emotional needs of men, women and children living in the most southern tip of the District of Columbia.  He is "a man after God's own heart", answering the call of God according to Jer. 3:15, "And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding."  Pastor Eugene is a faithful servant over the flock, creating a caring, nurturing environment where men, woman and children can grow in God's grace through sound biblical teaching.

Pastor Sheppard formed Lydia's House in 1990 as a non-profit, 501(c) organization, and established its mission as "Growing Children, Strengthening Families and Changing Neighborhoods" to address the human capitol needs.  Lydia's House serves as the church's social service agency.  Visit Lydia's House website at www.lydiashousendc.org for more information.

Recognizing that while the church was meeting the spiritual needs of its members and social justice needs of the community at large, Pastor Sheppard obeyed God once again and established the Far Southwest-Southeast Community Development Corporation (SW-SE CDC) to help foster economic development and spur community growth.  By promoting Brownfield redevelopment and environmental stewardship, Pastor Sheppard believes that the Far SW-SE CDC can lay the foundation for job creation, affordable housing and neighborhood sustainability.

Under his leadership, Living Word Church, Lydia's House and the CDC, are working together to change the hearts, minds and lives of people who have not known the love of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Sheppard is married to S. Patrice Sheppard.  They live, work and worship in the District of Columbia.  Together they have five children, Eric, Ronald, Lolita, Christian, and Marc.  They are the proud grandparents of 13 grandchildren: Darren, Erika, Jesse, Kevin, Gary, Marcus, Eric, Jr., Eboni, Joshua, Marquis, Seth, Evan, and Bakari.

Apostle Sam Soleyn - Albuquerque, NM

Sam Soleyn was born on the southern Caribbean Island of St. Vincent in 1951. From his early youth he was uncommonly interested in the things of God. At the age of 14 he made a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and a year later began to preach the message of the gospel in small villages throughout the island.

In 1970, Sam came to the United States and attended college to study for the ministry. He married Lucy in 1976 and they have two children Tamarind and Nicholas. Sam holds a doctorate in Jurisprudence from the University Of New Mexico School Of Law. From 1982 to 1987 he directed the Christian Legal Aid and Referral Service in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This was a ministry that served the legal needs of the poor and helped to unify the Body of Christ.

In 1984, in a dramatic encounter with the Lord, Sam was baptized in the Holy Spirit. It was at that time, that God started to unfold the revelation of the Kingdom of God and his calling as an apostle to him. He began to devote all of his time to the ministry of an apostle from January of 1988 to the present. He has brought the message of the Kingdom of God through radio, television and conferences throughout the United States and has traveled to many foreign countries to speak to the leaders and groups in the Body of Christ. Sam understands that his calling is to bring order to the Body of Christ and to demonstrate the power of Christ in support of the message of the Kingdom.

All of Sam teachings are available without cost through the website. Duplication is encouraged, but not for resale.
